Description

A special election for the 26th House of Delegates District in Virginia will take place on January 7, due to the resignation of incumbent Kannan Srinivasan (Democratic), who is resigning to run for State Senate. The seat was declared vacant on November 18, 2024.

The race will be between JJ Singh (Democratic) and Ram Venkatachalam (Republican). Our current model indicates JJ Singh has a >95% chance of winning the election. Of course, as this is just a model, it is possible for an upset to occur.
