Canada's Liberal Party has led the country's government since November 2015, after winning a 184 seat majority in the House of Commons. For nearly three years, the Conservative Party, led by Pierre Poilievre, has been leading the Liberals in the polls. However, the Liberals have recently surged due to increasing tensions with the United States and Justin Trudeau's resignation and subsequent change in the Liberal Party leadership.
The earliest polls will close at around 7:00 PM (19:00) Eastern Time, in Newfoundland & Labrador. The last polls close in British Columbia and Yukon, at 10:00 PM (22:00) Eastern Time. Preliminary results begin reporting in each riding once the polls have closed.
