Description

A special election for the 10th State Senate District in Virginia will take place on January 7, after John McGuire III announced his resignation following his election to the United States House of Representatives. The seat was declared vacant on December 11, 2024.

The race will be between Luther Cifers (Republican) and Jack Trammell (Democratic). Our current model indicates Luther Cifers has a >95% chance of winning the election. Of course, as this is just a model, it is possible for an upset to occur.
